The fishing in Loreto during the winter is still amazing. Good chance you will catch some delicious Yellowtail (20 to 40 pounds are normal). In the winter, the weather is dictated by the wind. If its too windy, its too risky and unpleasant to be out in the sea.

There is usually a flat rate for a panga, which is maybe about $250 to $500 and can fit about 3-5 people. Better fishing boats and equipment usually means higher rates, but doesn't necessarily mean more fish.
